Wingate. These two are plant keys, but are quite easy to follow. They have info about plant parts, and the different plant families. By answering questions about the plants flower and leaves the book will help you figure out what plant it is. It won't always tell you exactly which plant you are looking at, but it gets you very close. Contains no pictures , but very good illustrations and descriptions.CamoJPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03856856801300143845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8818644720083419532.post-78102340496240515672011-07-22T10:49:07.120-06:002011-07-22T10:49:07.120-06:00If you prefer flower descriptions try G.K. Doesn't have as many species, but contains very good drawings of plants and often contains a picture also.CamoJPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03856856801300143845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8818644720083419532.post-49261304361717647902011-07-22T10:42:41.087-06:002011-07-22T10:42:41.087-06:00If you are looking for a flower guide there are hu...If you are looking for a flower guide there are hundreds, but here are a couple of suggestions. If you want a color picture guide i've found 'Rocky Mountain Flora' by James Ells to be a good one book choice. It has about 700 different species with good pictures. The descriptions aren't always the best, but if you're not looking to get too specific with your id this is an excellent book.CamoJPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03856856801300143845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8818644720083419532.post-84511208175579577242011-07-22T10:23:19.391-06:002011-07-22T10:23:19.391-06:00The first flowers are actually peas rather than sn...The first flowers are actually peas rather than snapdragons and are called Golden banner. the purple flowers are Western Spiderwort.
